The BCTF has pulled together a number of K-12 lesson plans for educators on their LGBTQ2S+ Action Group page.

This comprehensive handbook aimed at educators provides background knowledge about gender diversity, strategies designed to promote a respectful classroom environment for all students, and a series of age-appropriate lesson plans for K-12. The lesson plans cover gender role stereotyping, families, non sexist approaches to teaching fairy tales, ally building, the First Nations' perspectives on gender and more. Also outlined are the legal obligations of educational administrators and school districts, as well as details of how to create a gender inclusive school culture.

Bryan Gidinski, from Lost Boys Consulting, has created and collected a number of SOGI-inclusive lesson plans, projects, and resources that educators can use immediately in their classrooms and schools.

SOGI is not its own curriculum; it is one aspect of diversity that is embedded across a range of grades and subject areas. SOGI 1 2 3 provides ready-to-use, grade-appropriate SOGI-inclusive lesson plans that align with that curriculum. Teachers can adapt or adopt SOGI 1 2 3 lesson plans to meet the needs of their classrooms.
